Carebeka has been engaged in shipping for more than 80 years. Our history goes back to 1939, when 23 shipowners established the Carebeka office in Groningen.
The Rotterdam branch office, which was set up in 1953, started as an agency office. Over the years Carebeka Rotterdam has expanded into an independent Dutch dry cargo shipbroker specialising in coastal & deep-sea chartering of bulk shipments, project and break-bulk shipments.
Today Carebeka is an experienced, dynamic and independent ship broker, specialized in dry-bulk coastal and deep-sea chartering, freight contracting and project & break-bulk cargoes. Our main trading areas are The Baltic Sea, The region UK-Ireland, The Mediterranean, North and East Africa, The Black Sea, The Atlantic, The Canadian Lakes, The East Coast of the USA and the US Gulf. Carebeka also carries out cargo inspections & supervision for agricultural cargoes and through our fully integrated daughter company Robchart BV we can offer forwarding and logistics services for mineral cargoes in bulk and/or breakbulk.
If desired, we can extend our service by acting as freight contractor/freight trader offering fixed freight on single voyage and/or longer-term contracts of affreightment (coa’s) enabling our customers to do forward business while covering their operational and freight volatility risks
A heavy transformer from South-Korea to Zimbabwe, enormous beer tanks from China to Mexico, or complete (de-) mobilisations from dredging projects to the most inhospitable areas on the globe. Our experienced team can ship and handle your oversized or heavy cargo utilising different modalities. We ensure that your complex project movements will be scheduled and monitored throughout, desired lead-times are met, and costs are on budget.
Through trusted and certified partners in our extensive network we are able to offer competitive rates for barging services on Europe’s inner waterways.
We can offer high quality, reliable and fast transshipment as well as (temporary) storage at competitive rates, in cooperation with carefully selected partners. Our partners are all fully certified and of course so are we.
Through our own continuous presence in the (spot) market combined with the additional information we get supplied from our global network we offer daily updated market information as well as freight guidance on forwarding business. Often, we are being consulted to study on large projects and new opportunities.
Carebeka Chartering BV is handling the port agency of vessels in the port(s) of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Flushing, Ghent, Bremen and Hamburg.
In all represented ports we render the following services:
